David Simpson has worked in development for Hat Trick Productions on the web based comedy channel 'Comedy Flannel'for
Virgin Media, and has written and performed in sketches for the Funnyordie website.
As a performer he has appeared in ‘Happy Finish’, a sketch show for the Comedy Lab season on Channel 4 and makes up one half of the double-act 'Allnutt and Simpson' who won the Comedy Smalls Award in 2009 for one of their online sketches.
He co-runs the Time Out Critics Choice Sketch and Character Comedy night 'Sketchercise', also recommended in The Independent, and worked alongside Mark Talbot producing viral sketches for the 'Sabotage' comedy night.
He has had work screened at the National Media Museum in Bradford and was also placed as one of the most creative people under 30 in the West Midlands in a Channel 4 IDEASfactory competition for his first ever short film.
He also has a background in producing sports content for the web, working on the FIFA World Cup, Premiership Rugby for ESPN, Europa League Football for Channel 5 and is Digital Editor for Boxrec News.
