Since March 2009 Paul Jackson has been CEO, Eyeworks UK supervising their push into the UK Comedy and Entertainment format business. Until December 2008 he was ITV’s Director of Entertainment and Comedy, commissioning and overseeing shows such as ‘Britain’s got Talent’, ‘The X Factor’, ‘Benidorm’ and ‘Ladies of Letters’.
Before that he was working as Granada’s Chief Executive Officer in America (where he executive produced ‘Hells Kitchen’, ‘Nanny 911’ and ‘Celebrity Fit Camp’ amongst others) and previously he worked in Australia as Chief Executive Officer of Granada Productions.
He went to Australia from the BBC where he held the role of Controller of Entertainment and Comedy, responsible for five entertainment and comedy departments working across television, radio and online.
In his production career, Paul produced and or directed a raft of entertainment and comedy shows for most UK Broadcasters, including ‘The Young Ones’, ‘Red Dwarf’, ‘Saturday Live’, ‘Girls on Top’, ‘The Generation Game’ and ‘Blankety Blank’.
